Game 14: Turkey Men's Team earn second win in Pool B

On the opening game of Day 3 of the 2015 European Wheelchair Basketball Championships, Turkey played their way to a 59-48 win against Sweden to go 2/2 in Pool B.

The first shot of the game went to Turkey with a fantastic basket from Ozgur Gurbulak; the opening quarter proving to be a tense affair with the teams trading baskets. However, at the end of the first 10 minutes, it was Sweden with a 16-12 lead over Turkey.

The second quarter of the first half saw Turkey continue to push Sweden to the limit as they fought their way back into game. Sweden’s shots just not falling, Turkey took the final 10 points of the quarter to enter half time ahead by 27-22.

Sweden began the third quarter with a basket courtesy of Christian Seidel, however Turkey remained on the attack and continued to score. Sweden came fighting back on the rebound but Turkey were able to hold onto a strong 43-35 lead with just 10 minutes left to play.

The final quarter saw Sweden continue to battle hard throughout the final quarter. Turkey, however, remained safely in the lead as they played their way to a hard-fought 59-48 victory.
