In the second Men’s game on Day 3 of the European Championships, Spain put on a fantastic performance to go 2/2 in Pool A.
It was another tense opening 10 minutes in the second Men’s game on Day 3 of the European Wheelchair Basketball Championships – little separating the two teams until the final two minutes of the quarter when Spain pushed ahead to enter the second quarter with a 17-10 lead.
The second quarter saw Spain continue to extend their lead with the score at the end of the first half seeing Spain hold 36 points to the Czech Republic’s 18.
The third quarter saw the Czech Republic come out strong on offense, the team bringing themselves back into the game with a solid performance in the key. Indeed, a good steady shooting consistency from the Czech Republic saw them earn 11 points to Spain’s 13. With just 10 minutes left on the clock, Spain therefore had a 49-30 advantage.
The Czech Republic continued to put up a fantastic battle in the final quarter, making the most of their opportunities from the line; nevertheless, a strong overall performance at both ends of the court by Spain saw the team go 2/2 in Pool A with a 61-42 triumph.
